“Breakfast could be better. Never saw the manager. The soft boiled eggs only egg option were not soft boiled. Clear yokk still. Potatoes cold. No water dispenser. Called manager iI was told only eggs prepared on the weekend. Had to micrwave my eggs after figuring to where the toaster and microwave were behind the counter. I was handling things to the point another guest gave me their room because they thought I worked there. Helped others on what was going on.”

“Best cheap motel option in the Grass Valley / Nevada City area. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Safe area. Clean, basic. Fridge worked, as did microwave and coffee brewer. Good heat. Hot water took 3 minutes to warm up but when it did it was plenty toasty. Bed, sheets and pillow got the job done. Gal at front desk was friendly and helpful. All the motel I needed.”

Fun rooms, the most comfortable bed and quality linens, feather pillows etc. A few quirks that are very understandable in a historic building in the middle of town (sometimes loud at night) but they have thought about little things like ear plugs and noise machine. “Beautiful restored old hotel. The restaurant service was wonderful as well as the front desk. My friends got a room comparable in price and theirs had a fridge and mine did not. So if that's important to you, make sure to ask.There was something that had spilled on the bathroom floor, I was in hurry so didn't really say anything to house keeping. All in all, a positive stay and I will definitely book again being sure to call and ask about specifics.”
